SANDY, Utah — An attic fire within a Sandy duplex was quickly extinguished causing minor damage to the unit, Monday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to the area of 1375 E. 11400 South at about 2 p.m. The flames were located in a bathroom.
Because there was little damage done to the unit, Sandy fire officials say, the residents will be out of their home overnight to make sure smoke is cleared out of the building.
The adjoined residence received no damage.
Cause of the small fire is under investigation.
