DAVIS COUNTY, Utah -- On April 21, the outdoor retailer Cabela’s will open a second store in Utah, located at the Farmington Station Shopping area.
FOX 13 News got an early look at the store, which is a little more than half as big as Cabela’s first Utah location in Lehi. For those familiar with the Lehi location, the new store will feel familiar, with its indoor mountain and roaring stream.
Trout swim in a pool at the mountain’s base with taxidermy animals of various shapes and sizes standing on the slopes.
“Utah is all about what we do here at Cabela’s. It's outdoors, it's hunting, it's fishing, it's hiking,” said the new store’s general manager, Mark Lawrenson.
Cabela’s communication staff says they chose the new location because of the success of the store in Lehi and consistent online and catalog sales north of Salt Lake County.
