KATY, Texas - As parents know, babies don't care what is going on outside the womb, when it's time to be born, it's time.

A Texas mother and midwife learned this lesson when their town was in the middle of historic flooding.

Midwife Cathy Rude was to deliver a neighbor's baby Monday but the Houston suburb was under water and driving to her clinic just wasn't going to happen.

So one of Rude's neighbors, Celeste, volunteered to get the midwife to the expectant mother in labor.

The neighbor loaded Rude and her equipment onto an inflatable swan and walked her through the flooded streets.

Other than the blow-up water fowl, the birth went as planned; mom and baby Bennett are doing just fine.
