Big Budah’s blog: Competing against an Olympian

Posted

I had a long week with lots of stumbling blocks that I had to overcome. I had to make sure to take care of business at work as well as at home with the kids, and making sure the wifey is comfortable while recovering from a total knee replacement.

I have a better appreciation of what the women in our lives do on the daily with no complaints!

In terms of health and fitness, I restarted the Layne Norton Power and Hypertrophy 90-day program and am feeling great.

One fun thing this week was when Olympic Gold Medalist Derek Parra and I had a bet on a game of curling on our Live at 11 midday show. Parra won Olympic Gold in the 1500 meter race as a speed skater in the 2002 games.

If Derek won our match-up, he asked to be able to drive the Budahmobile for a week. If I won, I would get to sport his gold medal all next week on Good Day Utah. Check out the video above for our competition and the result.

Thank you all for your ongoing support. See you next week!
