SUGAR LAND, Texas - A town in Texas is paying tribute to "selfies" in a very unique way and not everyone is happy about it.

The city of Sugar Land just put up a statue of two women taking a selfie.

Many residents were upset at first, saying it's a waste of taxpayer money.

But it actually didn't cost them a dime; it was donated.

In fact, someone donated 10 statues of activities that typically happen in the town square, one of them just happens to be selfies.
