Valerie Kukahiko from Crust Club shared tips for baking the perfect peach pie with a lattice crust.
- Prepare 8 - 10 peaches by slicing an X on the bottom of each peach to easier peel them after they are boiled
- Place peaches into boiling water for about 60 seconds or until skin is easy to peel
- Peel each peach and slice into pieces.
- Macerate peaches to get them ready to make a filling.
- Roll out pie dough and make a lattice top
- Paint eggwash onto crust, finish by dusting sugar on top
