WEST HAVEN, Utah - A 9-year-old Utah boy may have one of the best ever excuses for missing class.
Cade Draper and his dad went to meet Hall-of-Fame quarterback Steve Young at a book-signing Tuesday.
Cade asked Young to write him an excuse note for school.
He gave it to his principal at Country View Elementary in West Haven who couldn't even be mad.
Cade said his principal screamed when she saw it, saying she is a huge Steve Young fan.
The boy said Young was very kind and didn't even bring up the Denver Broncos jersey he was wearing.
