SALT LAKE COUNTY – The Unified Fire Authority will soon have new fire chief.
UFA has offered the job to Chief Dan Peterson.
He’s currently a Fire District 3 chief in Jackson County, Oregon, and has been working in fire safety since 1979.
UFA’s vice chair say Chief Peterson is the right man for the job and bring a lot of experience and knowledge to the position.
Former UFA Chief Michael Jensen stepped down in August amid two financial audits of the organization.
