Winter storm causes issues for drivers in northern Utah

Posted

UTAH -- Winter weather hit portions of the Beehive State the day before Thanksgiving, causing issues with power outages  in Utah County and leading to several slide-offs on snowy roads.

Snow began falling Wednesday evening, and a winter weather advisory is in effect through Thursday morning.

State officials say Parley's Canyon has seen the most slide-offs caused by the inclement weather so far. While there were slide-offs in the canyon and other areas of northern Utah, there were no reports of serious injury.

Fox 13 News' Matt McDonald was live with an update on the snowstorm and road conditions, see the video above for his report.
