GRAND COUNTY, Utah – Authorities have identified 65-year-old Donald Kim Ruble, of Moab, as the person killed in a single-engine plane crash in Grand County.

The Grand County Sheriff’s Office said Ruble was the only person on board.

Officials said the 2015 Quest Kodiak 100 single-engine plane took off from Canyonlands Field Airport just before 6 a.m. Monday.

According to the sheriff’s office, the plane hit a high-powered electric line about a mile southwest of the airport.

The plane crashed in a field and Ruble was killed on impact.

The plane is owned by Lease Air LLC of Moab.
