1 lb. strawberries, washed and dried
10 oz. package chocolate chips, whatever brand or style
Sheet pan with parchment paper
1. Wash the strawberries under cold water and be sure to completely dry them. Water and melted chocolate don’t mix.
2. Melt the chocolate by placing it in a microwave safe bowl and place in the microwave for 2 minutes at power level 5. If your microwave doesn’t have this feature, just cook in 30 second intervals.
3. After the 2 minutes are up, stir the chocolate chips around. They will still be partially solid. To melt them completely, cook in 30 second intervals at regular power, stirring after each period. It should take about 2 minutes total. Once it is mostly melted, do not cook it anymore. It will become creamy and smooth as you stir it.
4. Grab a strawberry by the stem and dip it in to mostly cover it in chocolate. Place on the parchment covered sheet pan and continue until they are all dipped. The chocolate will harden at room temperature but will harden faster if you put it in the fridge. Enjoy within 24 hours if they even last that long.
