JUAB COUNTY, Utah — The Utah Bureau of Land Management announced its plans to reopen Little Sahara Recreation Area, a popular destination for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts in Juab County, next week.

The BLM's Fillmore Field Office plans to reopen Little Sahara on Wednesday, May 13.

The recreation area has been closed since March 26, when the BLM, acting on guidance from state and local public health authorities and the CDC, issued an emergency closure order in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Utah is now in a "moderate risk" phase, the BLM will reopen Little Sahara, while implementing social distancing and putting some restrictions on camping. More details on those restrictions are expected in the next week.
