SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health's COVID-19 update for Wednesday shows 499 new confirmed cases and one new death.
Utah now has 22,716 confirmed cases. 343,358 people in Utah have been reported tested for the disease.
A total of 173 people in Utah have died of COVID-19, an increase of one since Tuesday's update.
1,476 people in Utah have required hospitalization due to COVID-19.
An estimated 12,707 people in Utah have recovered from the disease. UDOH estimates the recoveries by counting the people who survived three weeks after testing positive for COVID-19.
