SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health's COVID-19 report for Friday shows 863 new confirmed cases and six new deaths.
A total of 494,071 COVID-19 tests are reported to have been administered in Utah and the state's total case count is now 36,962.
2,188 people in Utah have required hospitalization for the disease and 273 have died. Of those hospitalized, 225 remain in the hospital.
Utah's newest COVID-19 deaths include:
- Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, older than 90, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, between 65-84, Davis County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 45-64, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
23,715 of Utah's COVID-19 cases are considered recovered. The Utah Department of Health estimates the number of recoveries by counting the people who survived three weeks after a positive COVID-19 test.
