Nearly 3,000 new tests, 369 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Utah Department of Health's Saturday report

Saturday’s report from the Utah Department of Health included 369 new COVID-19 cases across the state.

That brings the total cases in Utah since March to 48,814. Approximately 40,352 of those cases are considered to be recovered.

622,363 people have been tested, including an increase of 2,966 new tests since Friday’s report.

The rolling 7-day average is now 354, or approximately 8.7% of those tested.

131 people are currently hospitalized in connection to the virus. 2,899 have been hospitalized since March.

Two new deaths were reported, bringing the statewide total of fatalities to 385. Those newly reported deaths include:

  • A female, over the age of 85, Salt Lake County resident, in a long-term care facility.
  • A male, between the ages of 65 and 84, Salt Lake County resident, in a long term care facility.
