New cases of COVID-19 in Utah dip to just over 1800 Monday as six more deaths reported

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health reported 1,819 new cases of COVID-19 and six new deaths Monday.

The seven-day rolling average of new cases per day is at 2,423 and the percent of positive laboratory tests is 23.2 percent.

There are currently 551 people hospitalized in Utah with COVID-19.

The newly reported deaths bring the state's death toll to 1,161.

They include:

  • Male, between 65-84, Weber County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 25-44, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 45-64, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
