The Utah Dept. of Health reports 391 new cases of COVID-19 and four additional deaths

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Dept. of Health on Friday reported 391 new cases of COVID-19 and four additional deaths, bringing the total in the state to 407.

There have been a total of 50,948 positive cases to date.

There were 4,984 people tested since Thursday and the total is 647,745.

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 354 per day, and the rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 8.8 percent.

The number of people hospitalized continues to go down and there are 118 people currently in a hospital with COVID-19.

The deaths reported Friday happened in three counties.

  • A male, between 65 and 84, Box Elder County resident, hospitalized at time of death.
  • A female, between 45 and 64, Box Elder County resident, hospitalized at time of death.
  • A female, between 65 and 84, Wasatch County resident, resident of a long-term care facility.
  • A male, between 45 and 64, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death.
