Nine people suffered injuries Thursday morning when a pickup truck crashed into booths at a COVID-19 testing site at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

Four of the injured people were taken to a hospital for treatment and the other five were treated at the scene. None of the injuries are life-threatening.

The crash occurred around 9:43 a.m. at a testing site near Rice-Eccles Stadium.

No details on the extent of the injuries or what led to the crash were immediately available.

Witnesses told police and fire officials said the driver may have suffered a medical episode prior to the crash.

The testing facility is closed for the rest of the day, and anyone who had an appointment for testing will be contacted for rescheduling.
