SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health's COVID-19 report for Thursday shows an increase of 3,968 confirmed cases and 18 new deaths.
So far, 1,296,656 people in Utah have been tested for the disease. The state's rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 3,163 per day, and the rolling seven-day average for the percent of positive tests is 23.7.
In the state, 535 remain hospitalized
756 people in Utah have died of COVID-19. The deaths announced Thursday are:
- Male, between 65-84, Davis County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, older than 85, Summit County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, between 65-84, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, older than 85, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, older than 85, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, between 65-84, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, older than 85, Utah County resident, not hospitalized at time of death

The health department has removed two deaths from earlier as a result of an ongoing investigation by the Medical Examiner, so technically 16 fatalities were added on to the raw numbers.
