SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah group is giving recognition to the local businesses that it says are doing a good job in enforcing social distancing and the use of masks to help prevent further COVID-19 infections.

The "Businesses Doing COVID Right - SLCO Edition" Facebook group allows its members to share posts in praise of the owners, management and staff for different businesses in Salt Lake County who are handling the pandemic responsibly.

Kirsten Park, who administrates the group, said similar groups are being set up for other Utah communities.

"There'd be a Summit County edition and Washington County edition and a Cache County edition to help recognize the businesses in those communities where there's not a [mask] mandate to [...] help recognize them who are doing well before the county has made it a requirement," Park said.
