Utah passes 21,000 COVID-19 cases; no new fatalities reported

The latest statewide COVID-19 numbers have been released by the Utah Department of Health.

As of Sunday, there are now 21,100 lab-confirmed cases. That’s an increase of 472 since Saturday.

Approximately 11,931 of those cases are considered recovered.

328,449 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Utah. The newly reported 5,647 tests since Saturday is showing an overall rate of 6.4% positive tests.

192 people are currently hospitalized, which is an increase of 31 new cases. 1,396 people have been hospitalized in connection to the virus since March.

No new deaths have been reported, keeping the statewide fatality rate at 167.
