Utah reports over 3,000 recoveries, one new death in latest COVID-19 numbers

The Utah Department of Health has released the latest COVID-19 numbers across the state.

There are now 6,251 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Utah, 148 new cases compared to Saturday.

More than 3,200 new tests have been conducted, bringing the latest total to 146,510.

There are now 512 hospitalizations in connection to COVID-19; 14 more in the last 24 hours.

An estimated 3,033 people have recovered from the virus, which is approximately 48% of all confirmed cases.

One new death has been reported: A male Salt Lake County resident over the age of 60. It is unknown if he had preexisting conditions.

The Utah Department of Health will not be holding a press conference to discuss these new numbers. The next conference is scheduled for Monday afternoon, at which time it is believed there will be additionally updated numbers.
