Utah's Thursday COVID-19 results: 3,945 new cases, 11 deaths

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health reported 3,945 additional cases of COVID-19 and 11 more deaths on Thursday.

That brought the seven-day running average of new cases per day in Utah to 2,627 and the percent of positive lab tests is now at 24.2 percent.

There are currently 597 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Utah.

The additional deaths reported Thursday moved the state's death toll to 917.

They include:

9 Males:

  • between 65-84, Carbon County resident, hospitalized
  • older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized
  • between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, not hospitalized
  • between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, not hospitalized
  • between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized
  • between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized
  • between 65-84, Utah County resident, not hospitalized
  • between 45-64, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • older than 85, Weber County resident, long-term care facility resident

Two females:

  • between 65-84, Washington County resident, not hospitalized
  • between 45-64, Weber County resident, long-term care facility resident
