PARK CITY, Utah — A cow elk and her calf are back in the wild after falling into a window well at a Park City home, according to a Facebook post.
Crews placed a piece of plywood between the glass and the elk and officers with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources tranquilized the animals.
Thanks to a helping hand from some construction workers who volunteered their mini excavator, the elk were lifted from the window well, placed them into a horse trailer and administered a reversal drug to bring them out of sedation.
They were successfully released at a remote location.
