SALT LAKE CITY — Residents who experienced property damage because of the Magna earthquake and aftershocks between March 18 and April 17 have until September 8 to register for federal assistance.
This comes after 5.7 magnitude earthquake and dozens of aftershocks brought damage to many cities in Utah.
The Federal assistance kicked in on July 8 when a disaster declaration was announced.
Since the declaration, 670 Utahns have registered for some kind of assistance, resulting in $1.3 million in disaster relief funding.
The Small Business Association has approved more than $840,000 in disaster relief loans for businesses and residents.
