SALT LAKE CITY — In a letter sent to its members Friday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced updates to its guidelines for holding meetings safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The letter, which was signed by the church's first presidency, notes stake conferences can be held virtually or with careful social distancing beginning in November.
An enclosure with the letter says weekly sacrament meetings can resume immediately, either in a virtual setting, safely in person or a hybrid of the two.
The enclosure provides similar guidance for other activities, encouraging members to engage in virtual meetings and follow local guidelines for safe in-person events.
