SALT LAKE CITY — One man was stabbed multiple times Wednesday morning after an altercation on a Utah Transit Authority TRAX train.
UTA spokesman, Carl Arky, said it happened around 10 a.m. on a southbound blue line train.
Arky said the victim either got off or was helped off the train at the Cresent View station in Sandy.
The man was treated at the scene and then transported to a hospital in serious condition, but with injuries that are not considered to be life threatening.
The suspect got off the train at a previous stop but was tracked down and taken into custody, Arky said.
No one else was injured.
Investigators don’t know why the two men fought, or if they know each other.
The name of the suspect has yet to be released.
The incident caused minor disruption to TRAX service.
