OGDEN, Utah -- A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday afternoon in Ogden after hitting the back of a vehicle that was parked at a red light.
The crash occurred near 20th St. and Washington Blvd, Ogden police said in a statement.
A 71-year-old man was riding a motorcycle southbound when he hit in the rear of a vehicle parked at a red light, the statement said.
When the motorcycle hit the car, the police said the man was thrown from the bike and his head hit the pavement. He was not wearing a helmet and died of his injuries at the scene.
Neither speed nor impairment were thought to contribute to the accident, police said. The victim's name has not yet been released pending the notification of family.
