One person is in police custody after allegedly stabbing another man in Ogden on Saturday.

According to a probable cause statement, witnesses said they saw a domestic fight between a woman and 24-year-old Victor Dominguez. The victim had intervened in the altercation, and was then seen exiting the residence, injured and bleeding.

Another witness gave a specific description of the clothing Dominguez was wearing. That witness also said they heard the victim say something to the effect of “You stabbed me,” and Dominguez replied with something to the effect of “You tried to stab me first.”

The unnamed victim was transported to a local hospital. His immediate condition was not given.

When police arrived, they found a woman in the act of cleaning evidence of the crime.

After executing a search warrant on the home, police found clothing matching the description given by witnesses in the process of being cleaned. The clothing appeared to have blood on it.

After a lengthy search, Dominguez was also found hiding in the crawlspace of the home. He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault resulting in bodily injury, and obstruction of justice, both of which are felony charges.

Authorities were informed that Dominguez and the victim are cohabitants.
