SALT LAKE CITY — A pedestrian died after being hit by a car Friday night in Salt Lake City.
Police said the victim, a 42-year-old man whose name was not released, was crossing State Street at 1000 South around 9 p.m. when he was hit.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the crash. It was not stated if the driver, who was heading south, ran a red light or if the pedestrian crossed against the light.
