Those four might as well be set in stone.
C-SPAN has conducted three polls of presidential historians since 2000, with Lincoln, Washington, Franklin Roosevelt and Teddy Roosevelt at the top. In the first poll, Franklin Roosevelt outscored George Washington, but it’s been a clear 1,2, 3, and 4 since then.
But at number 5, Dwight Eisenhower edged out Harry Truman in the latest survey.
