SALT LAKE CITY — Crews with the Salt Lake City Fire Department responded to a trash fire at the Salt Lake County Landfill on California Ave. early Wednesday morning.
The cause of the fire in the area of 6400 West is under investigation.
With the help of fire apparatus and heavy equipment such as bulldozers, crews made good progress on the fire.
They will mop up subsurface fire areas and the work is expected to continue throughout the day.
No injuries were reported.
