ROOSEVELT, Utah — Two suspects have been arrested and police are still looking for at least one more in connection with a shooting during an apparent armed robbery attempt in Roosevelt.

According to Roosevelt PD, officers responded to a home around midnight Saturday after receiving reports of multiple gunshots.

Witnesses told police that three or four people wearing masks demanded money from at least two people at the home.

"At least one suspect started shooting, striking the victim," a Facebook post from Roosevelt PD said. "The victim was flown to a Salt Lake City-area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."

A concerned citizen followed a vehicle connected to the shooting until law enforcement officials arrived. They found the vehicle in a canal in the Ioka area and arrested Travis Thomas at the scene.

A second suspect, Jason Hare, led police on a chase through Wasatch County in a truck reported stolen from the Ioka area, the Facebook post said.

The case remains under investigation and Roosevelt Police said more information will be released as it becomes available.
