BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah — A Utah Highway Patrol sergeant escaped serious injury Friday morning after his patrol vehicle was hit by another vehicle in Box Elder County.
According to the Utah Department of Transportation, the crash occurred on U.S. 91 near mile post 9 shortly before 7 a.m.
A spokesman for UHP said the sergeant suffered some neck pain and was trapped inside the patrol vehicle for a short time.
"When you see emergency lights please expect trouble...slow down and give room for our Troops," a tweet from UHP said.
