SALT LAKE CITY — The U.S. continues to see the world’s worst rates of Covid-19 cases by such a wide margin, we’re basically lapping the field.
And Utah is part of the problem, according to the White House Coronavirus Task Force’s latest state-by-state report.
Some perspective:
- At this reading the U.S. has a current case rate of 851 per 100,000. That’s according to Domo’s very helpful Covid-19 tracking site.
- Here’s a look at that compared to Europe’s biggest countries, to our North American neighbors and to the other four largest countries by population:
The White House Task Force published recommendations showing Utah again on the list of states in the “red zone,” meaning they need to take measures to stop an increasing Covid rate.
