SALT LAKE CITY — With all of the headlines surrounding Sen. Mitt Romney, there are a lot of different takes on the situation.

As new stories come out everyday online, on television, and in the morning papers, there are new takes furthering and advancing the story.

But Utahns crowdfunded a new heading to run in newspapers all across the state, thanking him for voting to impeach President Donald Trump.

Cherise Udell is the one who came up with the idea for the full page ad.

"The hate that was being spewed toward this man who made a decision based on his oath to God, based on integrity, and I was thinking, 'This is my senator, and he needs some love,'" Udell told FOX 13.

Udell is the organizer of the Go Fund Me page that created this ad. We spoke with several others who donated to it to get their perspective.

Mother and daughter Ariane and Caroline Dansie said they donated because of family.

"In our faith, there is a song called 'Do what is right, let the consequence follow,'" Caroline said. "That song gave him the faith to make this decision… and I just think its a wonderful example to my family."

"I felt like this was something tangible that I could do to show Senator Romney that what he did meant a great deal to Utahns," said Kelly Jones, who also donated.

As Utahns looking through the Sunday pages flip to the full page ad that reads "Thank you Senator Romney for your courage" across the top, those who made this ad possible hope that it sends a message loud and clear.
