SALT LAKE CITY — An anonymous veteran saved the Salt Lake City Justice Court's US flag from a group of kids who tore it from its pole during a recent protest, the court said Tuesday.
According to a tweet from the court, the 30-year veteran wrestled the flag away from the kids. The flag appears dirty and damaged in a picture the court released on Twitter.
A week later, the veteran returned the flag to the courthouse and also gave them a new one, the tweet said.
"Our true colors will always shine through," SLC Justice Court tweeted.
