Unfortunately, we don't know how to do everything, and for the things we are not skilled in, we often turn to a professional for help.

But some things can be tackled by someone as accessible as your neighbor, which is where Brudcast could come in handy.

It's a Utah-made website-based app that's supposed to help you find more affordable skilled neighbors for a fraction of the cost of a contractor.

Beverly Azanbou, the CEO & Founder of Brudcast said, "It’s so hard to find any of those because they’re really so pricey and usually your only other option is Craigslist, and we know that Craigslist isn’t always the best place to find reliable people."

The app itself is very basic yet straight forward.

You can browse listings for free without signing up, but if you want to order a service from a user or post your own service offering then you need to sign up for an account.

"You can see what other people say about a person and their service, what kind of work they’ve done in the past, and get a sense of what you’re working with," said Azanbou.

Once you find a service you want, you can chat with the person offering it and book them.

People can also use Brudcast to trade services with each other, rather than using money.

Susan Curtis, a Professional House Cleaner and Brudcast User said, "I like to trade services, so if there’s somebody in our neighborhood that maybe fixes cars, we would trade house cleaning services with them for that."

Once a user has completed the service, you can leave them a review.

If someone has too many bad reviews, they will no longer be recommended on the platform.

At the moment, this app only works in Utah but Azanbou is hoping to expand it nationwide as soon as possible.
