NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah — It’s “Work for us Wednesday” and there are job openings that could put you on the front lines of environmental emergencies and disasters.

The transportation company Savage sprung up in Utah 75 years ago.

Now, they’re looking for people to join them in their latest environmental venture in North Salt Lake called, EnviroServe.

“EnviroServe is actually a part of Savage, Savage Services,” said talent acquisition manager, Amy Baran. “We’re a global provider of transportation, logistics and materials handling for customers and the environmental division is really excited to have this opportunity.”

EnviroServe offers emergency and disaster response for businesses for things like environmental spills. They also manage waste. Trained crews must respond quickly and safely.

“We’re looking for people that really want to invest in being with a company and grow in their careers, learn a new skill set,” Baran said. “We really do provide them with whatever direction they want to go.”

The company is ramping up hiring at their new location. They already have three team members and need one more.

Other openings include:

  • Environmental technicians
  • Account management sales jobs
  • CDL drivers

“Some of the benefits that we really offer for that is unusual,” Baran said. For CDL drivers out there is that they are typically at home every day. Our equipment is new. Most of our fleet is less than five years old.”

There are also job opportunities at Savage.

We’re throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico,” Baran said. “We’re global in nature so we have a number of opportunities from those drivers to transport operators, coordinators, anything that is supporting those roles that are enabling customers to do their job.”

The company is proud to be certified as a military friendly employer for 2021.
