Ever shout at your kids to get off the iPad and go outside for a minute?
Kyra Free runs theInstagram @UtahWithKids, and knows that parents need help knowing how to get their kids excited about the great outdoors.

So today, she shared her top three hikes the whole family can enjoy, no matter how young the children.

"My kids are 6, 3, and 2, so we love short hikes," she says. "So you'll see only short hikes on this list."

1. McPolin Nature Trail in Park City - "This is one of my favorites! It's a mile long, which is so easy, and it has bridges, trees that kids can climb around on and just have a blast."

2. Miller Nature Park in SLC - "This is not even up the canyon; it's just west of Hogle Zoo, so right in Salt Lake City. It's a loop around a slow-moving stream (the slower the better for kids, in my opinion). It's shady, beautiful and great for all ages."

Buffalo Peak in Provo - "A kid-friendly peak! It only takes 30 minutes to the summit, where you get panoramic views of the whole Utah valley. It is one of my top recommendations; it's so beautiful!"
