Perhaps you've heard of cold brew coffee, but still aren't sure what it is. Claudia McMullin of Utah-based Hugo Coffee Roasterssays cold brew is a coffee made by soaking coffee beans in water from 12-24 hours, which results in a concentrated coffe that is then served cold, sometimes injected with nitrogen gas to make it creamy and give it a head of foam.

"The cold brew in your cup has never touched by heat," Claudia says, which makes this type of brew typically more rich in flavor, yet less acidic, than your average cuppa hot Joe.

Claudia also showed us a refreshing way to mix Hugo's new cold brew with local spirits for the perfect Summer buzz.
