Have you started your Christmas shopping? This is the week many will start on those lists. And, there are some great deals out there that will help you and local businesses.
Fox 13's Amy Nay talked with Pete Codella at the Governor's Office of Economic Development about how this benefits both when we #ShopInUtah.
Legislators created the #InUtah program to help local businesses hurt by the pandemic. It's a way to support the local economy and stay healthy at the same time. Codella says, "Over a thousand businesses are listed on our site as having #ShopInUtah, usually it's a buy-one-get-one free."
Some other offers include:
- 100 off first order at ABC Tees
- 50 percent off lodging at Alta Chalets
- $40 in arcade play for $20 at Boondocks
- Spend $10 at Penny Ann's Cafe and get $20, going up as much as spend $250 and get $500
Codella says, "You can sort it by the city, by the company that's offering the offer and you can click right through to their website."
In addition to shopping deals, #InUtah offers ways to stay safe including getting your flu shot now, staying home when sick, wearing a mask, maintaining physical distance and washing your hands often.
