Smith's Chef Jeff joined us with a recipe that will satisfy your sweet tooth and give you a hint of salty goodness too.
Mom's Chewie Caramel Popcorn
1 stick butter
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 can sweetened condensed milk
4 bags microwave popcorn
1. Cook the popcorn and try and remove the un-popped kernels the best you can. Place in 2 large mixing bowls.
2. Add the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and sweetened condensed milk to a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil over med-high heat. Lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Evenly pour the creamy caramel over two bowls of popcorn. Stir together with a wooden spoon until the caramel covers the popcorn. Transfer the caramel popcorn to sheet pans to cool. Store in plastic zipper bags. Share with everyone! Enjoy!
