September is a great month to curl up and read a good book.

Melissa Dalton Martinez, Host & Book Reviewer for The Book Break joined us with three book recommendations and they all have strong female leads.

1. "The Slow March of Light" by Utah's own, Heather B. Moore. This brand new book is a beautiful historical fiction novel based on the true story of Bob Inama, an American soldier working as a spy in Soviet-occupied East Germany and a West German woman secretly helping her countrymen escape from behind the Berlin Wall.

2. "Ravages of Honor", by Monalisa Foster. This book is for anyone who enjoys thrillers, action or science fiction books.

3. "My Luck" from the "Twisted Luck" series, by Mel Todd. This is a non-romantic urban fantasy with a smattering of magical beasties.

The Book Break is doing a giveaway contest for all three books. Viewers can go to, and enter to win one of these books for free. Winners will be chosen on the morning of Friday, September 17, 2021.
