Workout with Jenny Hardman at Orangetheory Fitness

Posted

You see Jenny Hardman on TV but how does she start each day before her busy TV shoot schedule and live at 1 PM on Fox 13's The Place?

Jenny invited us to go along with her to her morning workout at Orangetheory Fitness.

In Jenny's own words, "Nothing gets me going in the morning quite like my workouts at Orangetheory Fitness".

One of the things she likes most is that Orangetheory is a total-body workout with a dedicated coach.

Your Orangetheory coach guides you through your one-hour workout that combines science and technology to guarantee maximum results from the inside out.

Nicole Vogel, Head Coach & Studio Manager at Orangetheory Fitness Holladay explained what it's like taking an Orangetheory class.

You will activate 85% of your body’s muscles while working out on the rower. Rowing is a low-impact workout that helps you improve endurance, strength, and power while working out a large percentage of your muscles.

Get your cardio in for the day whether you walk, jog or run on the treadmill. For those who need an alternative to the treadmill, Orangetheory also has bikes and striders available.

Finally you will do strength training on the weight floor and each day focuses on different muscles. Your coach is there to help make sure you are doing each exercise properly as well as to give you options if you have injuries or limitations.

The workouts are heart rate-based interval training that track your heart rate, calories burned, minutes performed, and personal records.

You train through five heart rate zones; gray, blue, green, orange, and red. Most of your time during class is spent in three of the zones: the green zone also known as your base pace, the orange zone a.k.a. your push pace, and occasionally getting into the red zone when working at your all-out pace.

These workouts along with your heart rate monitor are designed to charge your metabolism for MORE caloric afterburn.

"Orangetheory is more than just a gym because the work you do here in our studio will make all the difference out there in your world." - Orangetheory Fitness
