Snow is falling on the Bears Ears

BEARS EARS NATIONAL MONUMENT, Utah — Snow is falling on the Bears Ears.

According to a post on the US Forest Service-Manti-La Sal National Forest’s Facebook page, 4-5 inches of snow fell on Elk Ridge and the Bears Ears National Monument Thursday.

Both of those areas are south and west of Monticello in southeast Utah.

Rangers reported the snow is making travel in the area difficult.
