The 19-year-old woman who died late Sunday morning after falling from a chairlift at The Canyons Resort has been identified as Asha Davenport of Idaho Fall, according to Summit County Sheriff's Office.
Officials with The Canyons Resort say Davenport, a student at the University of Utah, had some sort of medical condition or reaction while riding the High Meadow Chairlift, which serves the beginner terrain, at 11:49 a.m. and fell from the lift.
According to witnesses, ski patrol was there within a minute, but the woman was pronounced dead at around 12:30 p.m. A medical helicopter was dispatched, but not used.
The lift was temporarily halted, but has since returned to normal use.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office and the medical examiner are investigating to determine a cause of death.
