A woman is dead after her vehicle fell several hundred feet down a ravine in Parley’s Canyon early Sunday morning.
A husband and wife were driving westbound along Interstate 80 at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday when their vehicle drove off the road and down a 200-300 foot ravine, coming to rest in a creek.
Neither driver nor passenger was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The passenger, 37-year-old Camile Dosch, died at the scene. Her husband was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police are investigating why the vehicle drove off the side of the roadway, but say the roads were clear.
