Man killed in SLC industrial accident

A 34-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon when he became trapped underneath some machinery at a Salt Lake City manufacturing business.

It happened around 1 p.m. at Cambelt International, 2820 West Directors Row.

The victim, Inoke Langi, was working on a piece of machinery when it collapsed on him. He sustained crushing injuries in his torso. It is not known why the machinery moved while Langi was working underneath it.

The accident will be investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Cambelt International is a manufacturer of conveyor belts and other industrial equipment.
