A woman was hospitalized after a crash with a dump truck in Carbon County Saturday.

Utah Highway Patrol says the woman had made a left turn from Highway 55 onto SR-10 to travel southbound just before 3 p.m. Saturday when she was hit by a semi dump truck traveling northbound. Officials say the truck hit the rear bumper of the woman’s vehicle, causing it to spin into the left side of the dump truck.

The woman was hospitalized in critical condition. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured. Police say the woman was wearing a seat belt but texting may have been a contributing factor.
